TSS 482 Visa Requirements

Thе requirements for a 482 visa include:

Subclass 482 Visa Processing Time

  3. Labour agreement  stream term – 4 to 7  months

482 Visa Australia English Requirements

There are requirements for three streams under this visa subclass are:

  1. Short term stream: For this stream, the applier must have a minimum score of 5.0 on thе International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent test.
  2. Medium term stream: For this stream the applier must have a minimum score of 5.0 on thе IELTS. You may provide evidence that you have a high score and completed secondary education in English.
  3. Labor Agreement stream: There are no specific English language requirements for this stream.

Visa 482 Occupation List

1. Short-term skilled occupation list (STSOL)

Thе STSOL supports the Short Term Stream of the TSS Visa. Occupations on this list are in demand for short-term periods, and visa holders can stay in Australia for up to two to four years.

Occupations on the STSOL include Accountant General, Marketing, Chef, Graphic Designer, and Event Manager. 

2. Medium and Long Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL)

Occupations on this list are in high demand and considered important for the long-term economy of Australia. Visa holders in this stream can stay for up to four years, with a pathway to permanent residence after three years. Occupations on the MLTSSL include Software Engineer, Civil Engineer, Registered Nurse, Electrician, and Secondary School Teacher.

3. Regional Occupation List (ROL)

The ROL supports regional areas and is designed to address specific labour shortages in designated regional areas of Australia. Occupations on the ROL include Agricultural, Technician, Physiotherapist, and Veterinarian.

Costs Associated with the TSS 482 Visa

The costs associated with the Temporary Skill Shortage Visa subclass 482 are as follows; 

  1. Visa application fee: AUD 1250 for the short stream and AUD 2400 for the medium term 
  2. Sponsorship and Nomination fee: AUD 330 for the short stream and AUD 540 for the medium term
  3. Skilling Australians Fund (SAF) levy: AUD 1200 per year for businesses with a yearly turnover of less than AUD 10 million and AUD 1800 per year for businesses with a yearly turnover of AUD 10 or more.
