Duties of a 482 Visa Holders

There are several prerequisites for the 482 visa. These are:

Fundamental Requirements

  • Two years or more of experience in the field of your choice
  • A legitimate nomination made by a recognised sponsor
  • Satisfied all prerequisites or skill assessments necessary for the position
  • Have an official certification attesting to your proficiency in English, and fulfill the language criteria
  • You must hold a valid functional visa, a subclass 010 (Bridging A), subclass 020 (Bridging B), or subclass 030 (Bridging C)
  • Any additional requirements or restrictions about the application for a visa
  • Fulfil the requirements for morality and physical fitness
  • Meet the unique demands of the individual stream. Candidates for the short-term stream must satisfy the genuine temporary entrant requirement.

Criteria for Employers 

When addressing the requirements for a 482 visa, you must know the standards for nominating employers. Employers nominated must:

  • Eligible to legally conduct business in Australia
  • Obtain a typical business sponsorship
  • Pay the AUD420 sponsorship costs.

After being accepted, the sponsorship is good for five years. Employers can recommend their employees for a skilled job on the list of positions. It includes the Medium and Long-Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) and the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (TSOL). But they have to:

Visa 482 Requirements: Required Documents

There are some of the following documents among them, but not all:

  • A diploma or other document that shows you can speak English well
  • Proper passport information
  • Details of a name change
  • Birth certificate
  • Results of a skill evaluation. If there is no need for a skills test, applicants must show their CV, registration or licence documents, qualification certificates and references from prior employers.
