Australia Immigration Allocation Update : SA State Skilled Nomination Program

The Commonwealth Department of Home Affairs has provided a limited number of nomination places to the Government of South Australia. The decision will boost SA’s economic recovery and public health response. The Migration Department has not provided a complete allocation of nomination places. Because of which, South Australia will not go for opening a full-scale skilled migration program.

Applicants who meet the state nomination requirements will get notified by the Department of Home Affairs SkillSelect system to lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI).

After lodgement of the EOI, the invited applicants will submit an online application for state nomination. The Government of South Australia has published the state nomination requirements on 27th August 2020. From 31st August, South Australia has begun reviewing the EOIs and sending invitations to submit an online application.

Applicants who meet the Commonwealth and State Government critical skills are requested to review the current state nomination requirements. The eligible applications will be sent an invitation to submit an application for state nomination.

Needless to say, the Applicants living and working in regional South Australia will continue to be prioritised for nomination.
