2. Parent Visa

The requirements for a parent visa are as follows:

  • The applicant must be the parent of a child who is an eligible citizen of New Zealand, an Australian permanent resident, or both.

3. Visitor Visa

The family member can travel around Australia, visit loved ones, and study for up to three months while on this visa. It’s important to understand that the candidate cannot get a job with this visa.  This visa is ideal for applicants to stay in Australia temporarily.

An applicant must:

  • Meet the requirements for fitness and character
  • Have enough cash to pay his travel and lodging costs while he is in Australia
  • Intends to take part in activities in the Sponsored Family stream.
  • Give the Department of home affairs proof –
  • He is an honest traveller who is visiting Australia.
  • He’s going to visit his family.
  • He is being sponsored by a qualified relative or an official from the Australian government.

4. Skilled Work Regional Subclass 491 – Family-Sponsored

A provisional 5-year visa for skilled workers in regional Australia under 45 is the Family Sponsored stream of the Skilled Work Regional Provisional Visa Subclass 491. You must be sponsored by an “eligible relative,” as the stream’s name implies. If you meet specific income and residency standards, it offers a direct route to permanent residence three years following the grant date.

Essential requirements are as under:

  • You have to be younger than 45 years old.
  • You must be employed in a profession on the applicable skilled occupation list.
  • ‘Competent English’ must be demonstrated by you.
  • You must have received a favourable skills evaluation from the appropriate authority regarding your chosen employment.
  • To be eligible to apply for a visa, you must score the required Points Test score at the time of the invitation.
  • You must meet health and character requirements. 
  • An eligible relative who resides in a specified location must nominate you.

5. Remaining Relative Visa 835

A permanent visa called the Remaining Relative allows visitors to stay in Australia to be with their only immediate family members. An eligible parent, step-parent, sibling, stepsibling, or relative’s partner must sponsor you.

Requirements for Remaining relative visa subclass 835 are as follows:

  • Your sole close relative, or the related of your partner, must sponsor you.
  • You can’t have any other close relations.
  • A guarantee of support is necessary.
  • Satisfy the character and fitness standards.

6. Carer Visa Subclass 836

An Australian visa called the Carer Visa Subclass 836 is available to those who wish to leave their country of origin and settle abroad to care for loved ones under long-term medical treatment. 

To qualify for the Visa Subclass 836, you must:

  • Be supported by an authorised sponsor, as determined by the Australian Government.
  • You must be in good health, as well as any eligible family member.
  • Possess no unpaid obligations to the Australian government.
  • Have the Australian Values Statement by signing it.
  • If you are a minor under 18, you must prove that it is in your best interests to do so.
